Meet Daniel Getachew — Founder, President & Portland Market Lead
Daniel Getachew has spent more than two decades leading creative and strategy for some of the world’s biggest brands—helping Fortune 500 companies launch products, tell stories, and connect with audiences in meaningful ways.
Today, he brings that same expertise home to Portland as the Founder and President of MOM+POP MRKTNG (serving small businesses and nonprofits), DANDAN+ Agency (building freelance teams for agencies and brand marketers), and DANDAN Group (rethinking how great work gets done by rethinking marketing services). All are rooted in expertise, powered by people, and built to scale with care.
As Portland Market Lead, Daniel works directly with local entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and startups—helping them navigate marketing challenges, build brands that last, and reach the people who matter most.
A proud Portlander, Daniel is inspired by the city’s makers, doers, and dreamers. From coffee on Alberta to cheering at Providence Park, he believes every “mom and pop” deserves the same level of strategy, creativity, and care as the biggest names in the game.
